CCAT Tool

CCAT Tool Nonprofit Lifecycle measurement

 CCAT TOOL

The CCAT is a 146-question online survey tool that measures an organization’s effectiveness in relation to the four core capacities and organizational culture. It is designed to be taken by all senior staff leaders and 1-3 Board members who are deeply knowledgeable about the organization and its operations. It is not a Board evaluation of the organization.

The national CCAT database consists of over 7,000 national nonprofit organizations that have previously taken the CCAT.

What it measures:

  • Nonprofit Lifecycle—effective organizations are constantly moving through these three lifecycles (core program development, infrastructure development and impact expansion) as they grow, scale and respond to changing environments

  • Core Capacity Model:

    • Leadership—ability of all organizational leaders to create and sustain the vision; inspire; model; prioritize; make decisions; provide direction; and innovate in an effort to achieve the mission.

    • Adaptability--the ability of a nonprofit to monitor, assess, respond to and create internal and external changes.

    • Management—the ability of a nonprofit to ensure the effective and efficient use of organizational resources.

    • Technical—the ability of a nonprofit to implement all of the key organizational and programmatic functions.

    • Organizational Culture—a nonprofit organization’s context—unique

    • history, language, structure, and values—that will affect its ability to achieve its mission.

Each CCAT report contains:

  • Lifecycle placement

  • Priority focus areas

  • Capacity scores with customized recommendations

  • Capacity building action plan—customized for your organization

  • Detailed strategies to accomplish recommendations

  • Comparison scores to similar organizations

Scope of Services

Onboarding ACDN member agency which includes: orientation, setting up agency in portal, monitoring progress, sending out reminders as needed, closing assessment when all agency designated survey takers have completed it and generate reports.

Virtually facilitate an inclusive discussion to guide the organization’s leadership through the report and contextualize what results mean for the nonprofit. This will help an agency tailor their CCAT results to immediately translate them into meaningful organizational improvement.

Cost (to be paid by ACDN member agencies)

Cost of CCAT $250

Admin fee $100

Facilitation $650

subtotal $1,000

ACDN Member Discount ($650)

TOTAL $350

I am a certified facilitator endorsed by the CCAT. If you believe there exists potential interest, I can prepare to deliver a 30-minute presentation during the upcoming conference. This presentation would outline the benefits of this opportunity, which could also serve as “member benefit” for our ACDN members.

Perusal of the provided links will reveal that the assessment is priced at $350. However, due to my affiliation, I can procure it at a reduced rate of $250. The onboarding procedure requires a time investment of approximately 30 to 60 minutes per agency. Subsequently, each facilitation session itself extends over a period of 60 to 90 minutes, in addition to a 60-minute commitment of preparation on my part.
